Behind-The-Scenes: 8 Tours the Whole Family Will Love

If you’ve been searching for ways to entertain the kiddies and possibly out of town guests, look no further. We’ve rounded up eight super cool tours where you can learn fun facts about chocolate, baseball, doughnuts and even airplanes. Click through the gallery to see our favorite local tours where kids are more than welcome to lead the way!

Savor Seattle’s Chocolate Indulgence Tour – Downtown Seattle

For the little (and big) chocoholic in your crew, Savor Seattle’s Chocolate Indulgence Tour is the perfect way to delve into the tip of the truffle, whether grandma is visiting from out of town, or you’re looking for a unique family adventure on a sunny day. Their fun (dare we say silly), engaging and totally kid-friendly tour guides take you on a tempting trek though the downtown Seattle corridor, starting with a ‘cake and a cup of ice cream at kidtastic Cupcake Royale, stopping at well and lesser known sweets shops (all of whom offer chocolate delicacies), and ending with beautiful truffles (Obama’s faves) at Fran’s. As you stroll from one chocoholic paradise to the next, your guide (as well as each shop) will fill your brain full of fantastic facts about our favorite treat (using Savor’s awesome audio equipment so you hear every word). By the end, don’t be surprised if your kiddo asks for another piece of that chocolate bar, because as you learned on the tour, chocolate is a fruit.

Don't Miss: The Chocolate Orange Body Lotion at indi chocolate and the fascinating chocolate facts at The Chocolate Box (where Kathy will also fill up your kiddo’s water bottle for your trek).

We Suggest: Bringing your kiddo’s own headphones to plug into the audio equipment—it’ll be more comfortable for them and you won’t have to help them with the earpiece throughout the tour. Strollers are not allowed due to space constraints, so break out the Ergo (and a few non-chocolate snacks) for the Littles under 4. And your best bet for a potty stop—after stopping at indi chocolate, use the facilities in the Pike Place Market.

Cost: $51.99/person (free for children 2 & under)

Details: Tours are 2 hours long; days and times vary by season, but tours typically take place at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Reserve your spot online.
