Push Presents: A Gift Guide for New Seattle Moms

Each group begins with a mindfulness exercise to center the body and calm the mind, continues with a discussion topic on infant development, swaddling, bathing, breastfeeding, sleep routines,crying and soothing and ends with a brief baby massage demonstration or other mindfulness-based strategy - Connect with your baby and other moms in a safe, reflective space - Get tools for enhancing the mother-infant bond - Learn self-care strategies - Gain support for baby blues, postpartum depression - Breastfeeding support - Transitioning to parenthood, partner support, "ghosts and angels" in the nursery Receive expert guidance from the group leaders, Moreen Pushkin, a pediatric nurse practitioner/infant massage instructor/lactation specialist/doula, Susan Halim an MBSR instructor/MFT intern, and Deborah Groening,MFT, infant development specialist/psychotherapist

New moms deserve to be celebrated. After all, growing and raising a small human is hard work!
