FREE Fall Library Story Times for Kids

The summer reading programs may have ended, but that’s no excuse to stop visiting your local library! Get ready to dive back into books with your kids. The whole family can curl up and enjoy story time together for free at these San Diego libraries. Kids don’t have to be school-age to enjoy reading, either. Click through the slideshow to check out these spots that have a variety of programs for kids of all ages, infant to teen!

La Jolla Riford Library

The La Jolla Riford Public Library has a wonderful kid area, and offers several different classes and youth programs, including story time, throughout the year. Several story time options are offered regularly, while others are subject to change. Feel free to contact the library’s staff with questions; they are always eager and willing to help.

For 0-18 months: Babies and their parents can learn together at Baby Sign Language, held every second Thursday of the month. The class starts at 9:45 a.m. Kids and their parents can enjoy story time, songs, and finger play while learning American Sign Language together.

For ages 2-5: Preschool Storytime is held every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Kids can listen aloud to stories, learn fun, educational songs together, and enjoy craft time afterwards.
