Beat the Heat at the Country’s Coolest Spray Parks

That hot summer sun has you reaching for the sprinkler. But before you can turn the hose on, your water babies are begging to hit the sprayground. Because even the coolest sprinklers can’t compete with the cannons, dump buckets and spray nozzles they’ll find there. Wanna know what other awesome splash pads features are out there? Flip through to find our faves from coast to coast.

Our Special Harbor – Franconia, Va

This awesome spray ground at Lee District Park in Franconia features Chesapeake Bay-themed attractions including a spraying osprey nest, misting sunflowers and a lighthouse. Perhaps most popular is Chessie the sea serpent who cheerfully sprays water for little explorers to enjoy. For younger kids, the beach area is quieter and has softer bubblers and interactive water tables. Best part? It’s free to visit!
