‘Zombies 3’ Has Finally Dropped on Disney+

It’s been two long years of waiting, but Zombies 3 finally has a finally arrived! Available now on Disney+, it’s finally time to catch up with the kids from Seabrook High for the third installment of the hit franchise.

Just like in the first two films, the newest entry in the “trequel” introduces yet another life form: aliens from outer space! To make the movie even more enticing, RuPaul Charles is joining the cast and will be voicing “The Mothership,” the UFO that transports the aliens to Earth.

Viewers can expect to see all their favorite characters returning, like Zed, Addison, Willa, Wynter, Bucky, Zoey, Eliza, Bree and Wyatt. So what’s the new film all about?

According to Disney+, we’ll return to Seabrook High, where Zed is seeking out an athletic scholarship so he can be the first zombie to attend college and Addison prepares for the first international cheer-off. Of course, drama ensues when aliens drop in for the worldwide cheer competition to not only cheer but perhaps get into other trouble.

A Zombies movie wouldn’t be complete without epic music and dance numbers, and this film is no exception. The soundtrack, which also drops on Jul. 15, will include eight new numbers that have an intergalactic vibe. In addition to new tunes like “Alien Invasion,” “Come On Out” and “Close Encounters,” we will also hear a third rendition of “Someday.” The duet between Zed and Addison has been a staple throughout the films and will score a spot in this version, showing how much the characters have grown.

Zombies 3 will originally debut and stream exclusively on Disney+ on Jul. 15 but will then make its way over to the Disney Channel on Fri., Aug. 12 at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT. After the initial showing, there will be a special encore premiere with additional bonus footage and a “lost song” musical number.

Here’s to a zombie-themed summer!
