Author, actress and producer are just a few of the hats that uber-talented star Mindy Kaling wears, but none are quite as important as her role as mom. Next summer Kaling is releasing an essay collection on mommyhood and you can score a peek for free thanks to Amazon.
The collection of essays written over the last few years covers everything from watching The Handmaid’s Tale while pregnant to making new friends when you have a new baby, and of course some awesome stories about hanging with her celeb pals like Reese Witherspoon and Oprah.

Kaling’s essay will publish in summer 2020 and Prime and Kindle Unlimited customers will be able to download it for free. The collection will be available both as a Kindle eBook or as an Audible audiobook, which Kaling will narrate herself.
“It’s so exciting for me to share the secrets of how I balance being a professional writer, actor, and single mom in a new collection of essays,” says Mindy Kaling. “I mean, it would be so exciting to share those secrets. I don’t have them. Like, not even close. This morning I bribed my baby with a remote control to get my car keys back. But I do have funny stories about my life and I can’t wait for you to read them.”
