27 years after Clueless, Donald Faison and his daughter won Halloween by paying this perfect tribute to Dionne and Murray

Is there any movie that’s like, as totally perfect as Clueless? Even though it was released 27 years ago (can you even believe that?!), it’s an absolute classic that gains a new fandom with every new generation, as it should. And because Clueless is as perfect and hilarious today as it was 27 years ago, Halloween costumes from the movie (and taking advantage of every single character’s absolutely killer style) are not only still relevant, but highly encouraged. Just look at Donald Faison and his daughter, Wilder, if you don’t believe it.

As you might recall, Faison starred in Clueless alongside Stacey Dash’s Dionne as her adorable and deceptively astute boyfriend, Murray. And while that was two full decades before 7-year-old Wilder was even born, it didn’t stop her from recreating Dash’s character, Dionne, with such perfect accuracy, that even her dad, who saw the whole thing in real life, looks a little taken aback.

Dressed in knee socks, plaid separates, and oh-my-God that hat, Wilder perfectly channels Dionne with one popped hip, a flip phone in hand, and a face full of attitude. Sitting on the stairs behind her, Faison is wearing a hoodie and backward cap reminiscent of his own Clueless character, and the look on his face says it all: How is this kid already so good at this? Is there a Clueless sequel on the horizon? If so, we already have a mini Dionne ready to go.

On the next slide of his post, Faison also shared a shot of his 9-year-old son, Rocco, who dressed up as Allen Iverson for Halloween this year. Seriously, who gave these kids their ’90s inspo, because we’re loving it.

Whether it’s Halloween or not, Clueless continues to provide some of our favorite throwbacks. Over on her social media, star Alicia Silverstone has been having fun dressing up and recreating some of the film’s most iconic scenes with her kids, who seem thrilled to play along.

It just goes to show that Clueless is still the classic it deserves to be.
