Kelly Osbourne Reacts to Mom Revealing Her Baby’s Name: ‘It’s No One’s Place but Mine’

Kelly Osbourne is speaking out after her mom revealed the news of her baby’s birth on live TV.

On Tuesday, Sharon Osbourne appeared on the British chat show The Talk, where she revealed that her daughter, Kelly, had given birth to a baby boy. She revealed that the baby’s name is Sidney, and that Kelly and baby are both “doing so great, so great.”

“She won’t let a picture go out of him, and I’m so proud of her,” Sharon added.

Well, that turned out to be very true, because on Wednesday, Kelly hit back on Instagram with a statement about her mom revealing her baby’s birth and name.

“I am not ready to share him with the world,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “It is no one’s place but mine to share any information on my baby.”

Kelly is absolutely right. No one but a baby’s parents has the right to reveal information about that baby—especially when we’re talking about celebrities who have to parent in the spotlight. Kelly deserved all the privacy she wanted, and she also deserved to have the special moment of sharing her baby boy with the world, on her timeline and her terms.

This isn’t even the first time that Kelly had to deal with one of her parents letting details slip about her family life. While she tried to keep the sex of her baby a secret during her pregnancy, it was her dad, Ozzy Osbourne, who was loose-lipped about the news.

“Well, look, all I will say is that my dad has f*cking told everybody,” she told People magazine in October. “Because he’s so excited.”

This is Kelly’s first baby, whom she shares with her boyfriend, Sid Wilson. She announced the pregnancy in May of last year, when she posted a photo to Instagram that showed her holding a pair of sonograms.

“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why,” she wrote in the caption. “I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma. To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic! 🤰💜”

We hope that her mom’s oversharing hasn’t added too much stress to this new mama’s life, and that she’s enjoying the time with her little one.
