The ‘Back to the Future’ cast is back together again
The Back to the Future cast reunited last weekend during the Fan Expo convention in Portland, Oregon. And even if you weren’t able to attend, the cast shared a set of amazing selfies and videos that will get you so nostalgic for the movie you may have to watch it again.
“Wow honestly had the best time today with my #bttf family,” Lea Thompson captioned a set of photos and videos she shared from the event. “My favorite, favorite guy ever,” she said, while embracing co-star Tom Wilson in a video. “I love this lady. It’s so great to see you. You’re so fabulous,” Wilson said in return. “I’m a butthead, right?” Thompson asks, quoting Biff’s epic go-to insult. Wilson playfully taps her on the head with another throwback from the movie: “Hello? Anyone home?”
Wilson shared the same selfie on his Instagram page, with the caption, “Okay, so this happened.” Seeing Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson, and Tom Wilson in the same frame is enough to make any fan’s heart flutter. Thompson also took to her Instagram stories that day to share more moments from the event.
Thompson played Michael J. Fox’s young mom in the movie. The first Back to the Future premiered in 1985, with Part II and Part III following in the late ’80s and early ’90s. The movie has never lost its appeal. Fans even still yearly celebrate “Back to the Future Day” yearly on October 15, the date Marty McFly would arrive in the future in the second installment of the movie.
This year at Sundance, Michael J. Fox shared some insight into his friendship with Christopher Lloyd—and the detail that it finally took off in the third installment of the film. “Chris is a great guy. He’s very enigmatic,” Fox said. “It took me a few films to get to know him. On Back to the Future Part III, we connected in a way we hadn’t on the other films. I came to see how much he loved acting… He’s full of surprises.”
