Believe it or not, back-to-school is just around the corner (you’ve started seeing the commercials and emails already, haven’t you?). While students—ahem, parents—start gearing up to get school-ready, teachers have already been on the ball for a while now. As a small token of appreciation for all their hard work, the Target Teacher Discount is back, with a few extra bonuses.
Last year, Target increased their teacher discount from 15% to 20% and kept the extended 6-week promotion period they launched in 2022. This year, those details are still in place (running from July 14 to August 24), and that 20% discount applies to a one-time purchase of anything in the store. So beyond what teachers frequently have to purchase for their own classrooms out-of-pocket, they can now include anything else they want to grab and include it in their 20% off purchase!
According to multiple surveys from the U.S. Department of Education, up to 94% of teachers grab for their wallets to stock up their classrooms, spending between $500 and $750 of their own funds for school necessities. We fully agree with Target that adding an extra 20% off more than just school supplies is more than fair to teachers who do so much more behind the scenes than many of us realize.
But it doesn’t stop there. For 2024, teachers get a little something extra through the Target Circle program launched earlier this year, including the free including the free-to-join Target Circle and the paid Target Circle 360 subscription. Teachers can sign up for the annual subscription of Target Circle 360 between July 14 and Aug. 24 and get benefits like same-day delivery on orders over $35 for just $49 for the first year!

Make a note that the Target Teacher Discount is connected to your Target Circle account and does require verification. Teachers, staff, and faculty employed by K-12 schools and U.S. colleges/universities are eligible, along with homeschool teachers, daycare teachers, and early childhood education teachers.
