Super Bowl LIII is coming up fast, and while we don’t yet know what teams will be going head to head, we can still plan on where we’re going to watch the fun on February 3. Whether you and your family never miss a throw or you’re mostly in it for the commercials and food, we’ve got you. The Independent Sports Bar and Grill
This downtown hotspot for sports fans has plenty of screens to watch the action (32 in all!), and a range of sports paraphernalia. Located just off Burnside in an older part of downtown, the Independent is a modern and fun place to catch the game. Kids can enjoy the little leaguers menu, and everyone will love the soft pretzels, sliders, nachos and more. This year The Independent is taking reservations for tables, so call ahead for your spot! $5/person includes raffles, prizes, and a gift card for your next visit!

Ladd Taphouse
With sports, beer, food and fun, what more could you need for game day? Screens encircle the whole place so every seat is guaranteed a great view, and the family friendly service (minors are allowed until 10pm) can’t be beat. Grab an order of Totchos (nachos on tots!) and relax for football fun. If your kiddos get wiggly, challenge them to a shuffleboard tournament!

Punch Bowl Social
Another spot for downtown fun, this huge emporium of games is located on the 3rd floor of Pioneer Place Mall. You can catch the game on the big screens, but there’s plenty of other things to do if your clan isn’t ready to be glued to the onscreen action. They can go bowling, play darts, enjoy table games, arcades, or even sing karaoke! And the food is tailor made for game day, with plenty of classic American treats, as well as a kids menu and gluten free options. Are you ready for some football?

The Station
Score a touchdown at the Station, boasting six huge flatscreen TVs and a huge projector for the Big Game. Maybe the best part is the “Kids Zone,” a super fun play station with chalk boards, games, and lots of things to keep the little ones busy while you enjoy a pint and some football action. The menu at this Alberta street spot offers pizzas, burgers, and some special kids’ choices, as well. Brunch is available until 11:30 a.m. on game days.

Minors are welcome until 9pm, and they’ll definitely enjoy the delicious menu with treats like beef taquitos and a brownie sundae. If the weather cooperates, you can enjoy the huge outdoor deck, or if the kids need a break, wander around the Pearl and get some energy out at Jamison Park. Buffalo Wild Wings
It’s not unique to Portland, but you can’t beat BWW for sports and wings! Super family friendly (plenty of high chairs and noise to mask any loud kids), and a menu that is pretty much tailored made for watching football, it’s a great afternoon out. Screen cover the dining rooms in all of their eight locations around the Portland area. It’s an easy choice for a fun, delicious, no-stress Game Day!
