Your favorite American Girl dolls are coming to a city near you! A live concert tour featuring both classic and modern dolls kicks off this fall
If your kids are American Girl fans, this news is for you: The beloved dolls are stepping out of the store and heading on a nationwide tour. At stops in 20 cities, they’ll put on high energy, interactive concerts that bring your favorite dolls (both classic and modern) to life. The shows are sure to be full of surprises that will delight every American Girl fan, so here’s everything you need to know before the tour kicks off this fall.
The tour will stop at 20 U.S. cities starting in Concord, New Hampshire. Official dates haven’t been announced yet, but you can see the full list of cities and watch for updates at the American Girl Live! website. Tickets officially go on sale June 16, but fans can already join the priority waitlist to get early access to tickets starting at 9 a.m. EST on June 15.
We don’t know too much about the show itself, but we do know that it will feature American Girl dolls coming together and finding confidence in themselves through being kind to one another. It will feature live actors portraying Claudie, Melody, Julie, Courtney, and Nicki. Those in the know will notice that means the show features dolls spanning nearly a century—Claudie is from the 1920s, and Nicki is from the 1990s, with the other dolls representing several decades in between.
“We’re thrilled to debut American Girl Live! In Concert as the ultimate fan experience filled with non-stop music and dancing for all ages to enjoy,” Julie Freeland, senior director of global location based entertainment at Mattel, said in a press release. “The premium production celebrates the power of girlhood with fun, inspiring songs that embody the spirit of American Girl’s popular characters and stories that have inspired generations. We can’t wait for families across the country to experience it.”
It sounds like these shows will be a fun, wholesome time for kids and parents alike, so get ready to snag your tickets when they go on sale.
