Hastings Museum Planetarium – Hastings, Ne

There are two projectors at the Hastings Museum Planetarium. One is the Minolta MS-8, which offers a jaw-dropping realistic representation of the night sky (more than 3,500 stars!), and the other is a full dome projector, added in 2008, which allows Museum staff to show astronomy-related films that fill the entire smooth dome—putting viewers in the middle of the action. There’s also a must-see, free Solar Observation event every fourth Saturday of the month.

Insider Tip: Hastings, Ne is the birthplace of Kool-Aid! Stop by the exhibit, Discover the Dream, and walk through the history of the classic soft drink.
