Although sweater season might not be here quite yet, there are tons of fun holiday activities to look forward to in 2021. We gathered up all of our favorite things to do this holiday season like train rides to the North Pole, Christmas light displays, and holiday theater performances. Take a Magical Journey with Scout Elves

Join Tiny Tinkerton and some scout elves as they embark on a magical outdoor journey to save Christmas. North Pole Texas at the Hilton Anatole

Located in the Hilton Anatole, there are tons of Winter Wonderland adventures to be had at the North Pole Texas experience! Ride the Peppermint Park Train, write letters to Santa, attend Elf Academy and make a take-home Teddy Bear, watch Santa's Magical Marionette Theater, dance the night away at the Reindeer Dance Party and so much more! Check Out The Trains at NorthPark

The Trains at NorthPark returns! Benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and once again presented by Bank of Texas, The Trains at NorthPark welcomes more than 70,000 visitors to Dallas’ favorite shopping destination each season to revel in the magical display and show their support for the House. Holiday at the Arboretum

Holiday at the Arboretum is Dallas’ favorite holiday tradition! Stroll the garden to see the 25-foot-tall elaborately decorated Victorian-style gazebos that represent each of the 12 Days of Christmas. In the evenings, the garden comes to life for a beautiful nighttime experience aglow with over one million lights. Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine's Snowland

With oversized snowflakes, garland, shimmering trees, and more, the lodge transforms into a whimsical wonderland. Activities start in the morning with “Twas the Night Before Snowland” Yoga Tails and conclude in the evening with the Frosty Fest Family Dance Party. Guests are treated to frequent snowfalls in the Grand Lobby, as well as a telling of Great Wolf Lodge’s holiday story and Snowland Trivia. Nov. 28-Jan. 5. Event details

Visit Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro

Santa’s Wonderland returns to Bass Pro Shops, and families are invited to enjoy this magical Christmas village!  You'll need to book your free reservation in advance. You'll get a "contactless Claus" visit when you arrive and free craft kits. Nov. 6-Dec. 24. Event details. 

Dallas Zoo Lights Drive-Thru

Cruise through a newly constructed pathway and through familiar parts of the Dallas Zoo while marveling at more than one million lights in elaborate displays, silk-covered animal lanterns depicting all your Zoo favorites, an ice palace fit for a trio of penguins, and so much more along the way. Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf™ at the Gaylord

This year's Christmas event at the Gaylord will have guests journeying into Buddy the Elf's world as they try to muster enough cheer to power up the Kringle 3000. Visit Vitruvian Lights

Vitruvian Park transforms into North Texas’ most spectacular holiday destination during Vitruvian Lights when over 1.5 million sparkling LED lights are wrapped around more than 550 trees. Check Out Prairie Lights

Prairie Lights is the premier holiday light park in Texas located at Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, Texas. Upon arriving at the entrance of Prairie Lights,  you will be dazzled with 4 million lights set along 2 miles of path. Hundreds of ALL-NEW displays in shapes of all kinds line and arch over the roads. Halfway through the drive get out of your car for a stop at Holiday Village where you will find food, gifts, Santa, a brand-new indoor Holiday Show and the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Holiday Movie Series at the Majestic

The Texas Theatre and the Majestic have teamed up for a five-part holiday movie series in 2022! They are showing the classic It's a Wonderful Life, the iconic Edward Scissorhands and laugh-out-loud fun Elf. Dec. 5-Dec. 22. Event details.
