This viral TikTok will make you want to stop whatever you’re doing and hug your dad

Sometimes, a little time with Dad is exactly what a person needs. That’s the takeaway we’re all getting from a viral TikTok video that has the entire internet sobbing over the beautiful love and bond between a young woman and her dad.

The video was posted by Becca Lundell (who goes by @b_lundell on TikTok), who decided to share what happened when she almost missed the chance to spend some quality time with her dad by joining him on a walk with his dogs. The video starts with a view of Lundell’s phone screen, which shows the text exchange between her and her dad.

“Hi Becca, do you want to come on a walk with me and the dogs this morning? Love you. – Dad,” he wrote. Lundell, who was busy that morning, responded, “Hey dad!!!!” she wrote back. “I wish I could! It’s a little busy this morning unfortunately! But for sure next time!” Her sweet dad wrote back, “No worries :)”

But after that, the video cuts to Lundell’s face, which is showing her instant regret for her decision. She soon explains that she decided to cancel her previous plans and join her dad, but because he had already left for his walk, she drove to the trailhead to surprise him. The end of the video shows her running up to her unsuspecting dad, and him hugging her when he realizes he gets to spend the day with his little girl after all.

“He was so happy and so were the doggos,” Lundell wrote in the caption. “This will always be a memory. Cherish these moments.”

Is someone cutting onions in here? I know it’s not just me.

The comments section for the video was filled with people who were touched by this very sweet moment between Lundell and her dad.

“As a daughter who lost her mom and dad far too young, I promise you made the right choice to take that walk with him,” one wrote. Another added, “As a father of 2 little girls and strong understanding of how limited time can be, this made me tear up and smile. TY. We appreciate these things.”

In a follow-up video, Lundell explained that her dad actually lost his dad at the same age she is now.

“I can’t even comprehend the pain he went through until now imagining a life without him,” she wrote. “He truly is the very best dad.”

Now BRB while we all call our dads.
