Get ready for a new adventure—superhero style! Disneyland recently released new details about the projected 2020 Marvel-themed area expansion. And we’ve got the need-to-know info for you.
The new superhero themed space will take over what once was “A Bug’s Land.” Disneyland fans may already know that some of the attractions closed mid-March, with the rest expected to shutter by late summer. The closures will make room for an array of attraction awesomeness, centered around the existing Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: BREAKOUT!
Along with new experiences at California’s Disneyland Resort, the park’s partnership with Marvel Studios and Marvel Themed Entertainment will extend internationally, with planned ‘lands’ coming to Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland too.
Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris will feature what Disney describes as a, “hyper-kinetic adventure.” Visitors will get to team up with Iron Man and their fave Avengers on this wild ride. International travelers who plan on visiting Hong Kong Disneyland will also get plenty of new action. The park is planning an Ant-Man and The Wasp adventure to go along with the 2017 Iron Man Experience.
While Disney projects the new superhero-themed area will open at the California resort in 2020, as of now there’s no specific debut date.
