The film is already coming to your television as part of Disney+ Day

It’s only been a month and a half since Thor: Love and Thunder hit theaters on Jul. 8, but it’s already headed for home viewing. Chris Hemsworth, aka the God of Thunder himself, has shared that the blockbuster film is hitting Disney+ on Sept. 8!

The film finds Thor on a journey for inner peace when he must set aside his ambitions to hunt down Gorr the God Butcher (played by Christian Bale) who’s attempting to wipe out all the gods. Thor finds help in King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) who has picked up the mantle (well, technically she’s picked up Mjolnir) and is now Mighty Thor herself.

The quick move to Disney+ is part of a larger event, Disney+ Day, where tons of extra content and experiences is planned to hit the platform. In addition to Thor: Love and Thunder, other new titles include Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder, Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return, Remembering, Dancing with the Stars: The Pros’ Most Memorable Dances, Tierra Incógnita, the Frozen and Frozen 2 Sing-Alongs, and Welcome to the Club, a new short from The Simpsons.

To further celebrate, tons of fan-fave movies will be returning to select AMC Theaters from Sept. 8-19. For just $5, attendees can rewatch films like Encanto, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Disney and Pixar’s Cars and Newsies. It’s a fine life!

Not only will viewers get to watch amazing films for a steal, attendees will also get a free Disney+ poster (while supplies last) and enjoy special concessions just for Disney+ subscribers. You can purchase tickets beginning Sept. 1.
