On Thursday, the Royal Family got together to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II in the Commonwealth of Nations to mark the 70th anniversary of her accession. As part of the celebrations, the Duchess of Cambridge, along with husband, Prince William and kids, joined the rest of the family on the Buckingham Palace balcony, but it was little Louis who really stole the show.

The family was gathered for the annual Trooping of Color Parade, which celebrates the Queen’s official birthday. It’s also a time when the world gets to see kids Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four. It also means when you’re Kate, you may need to scold your kids in front of a very public audience.

While everyone seemed to be enjoying the day, Louis gave his mom, Kate, several moments of panic while he made faces and seemingly seemed both bored and playful, depending on the minute. For her part, the Duchess seemed to take it in stride, getting very close and whispering in her son’s ear (peak mom move) and even snapping at him at one point.

“Royal children… they’re just like ours,” TODAY wrote on Instagram “Prince Louis stole the show with his expressive faces at his great grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s #PlatinumJubilee.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for his various faces to become memes worthy of some serious sharing on social media.

“as a parent of a four year old not in line to the throne. Prince Louis we see you and we understand you,” wrote Jen Psaki, former press secretary and upcoming MSNBC host.

Others were quick to join in:

The little prince seemed a bit bothered by the planes flying overhead, and then decided to chat up his great-grandmother in several sweet moments during the celebration. But it was Kate’s expert scolding of her son that had moms everywhere nodding their heads in recognition. She also repeatedly reminded him to take his hands out of his mouth while he stood in front of millions, at one point saying, “Good boy.”

This was only the second time Prince Louis made an appearance on the famous balcony, and we can’t wait for his return.
