Highwood Pride Fest Pride Rocks Family Picnic

Downtown Highwood is showing support for Pride Month with its annual Pride Fest. From noon-3 p.m., the family-friendly Pride Rocks Picnic will be hosted in Everts Park featuring rock painting, storytime, sidewalk chalking, crafts and more. The Werk the Runway event, noon-12:30 p.m., will give ages 2-18 a chance to celebrate their diversity, be seen and supported as they strut their style on the runway. Chicago favorite Ben Tatar & the Tatar Tots will perform, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m., followed by School of Rock,1:30 p.m.-3 p.m.

Downtown Highwood will celebrate all month long with pride flags decorating the streets, rainbow windows and chalked sidewalks.
