Calling all aspiring directors, actors, animators, and film editors: it’s time to tell your stories.
This summer, FACETS, the home of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF), is offering 6 film camps for ages 8-17 designed to teach foundational filmmaking skills, story development, acting, animation and more! With a variety of camp options, from the flagship Film 101 camp to the new Introduction to YouTube camp, young creatives of all types can find something fun, educational, and affordable at FACETS Film Camps.
In-person only camps hosted at FACETS (1517 W Fullerton Ave) include:
- Film 101: Film Foundations (Ages 8-10 & 11-13) – June
- Film 102: Intermediate Filmmaking (Ages 11-13 & 14-17) – June & July
- Acting for the Stage and Screen (Ages 8-13) – July & August
In-person camps with a virtual option:
- Introduction to YouTube (Ages 9-13) – July
- Digital Animation: GIFs, Stop Motion, & Scratch (Ages 9-13) – August
- Editing 101 (Ages 9-13) – June
