Ballet Academy East Classes

Ballet Academy East is home to aspiring dancers of all ages in its Young Dancer, Pre-Professional and Adult Divisions.

The Young Dancer Division inspires children ages 2-6 to discover the joy and magic of dance. The accomplished teachers create a warm and positive environment where children will develop their physical coordination, self-confidence, musicality, focus, and their love of dance. All classes feature live piano accompaniment.

The Primary Division, for students in first grade, is designed to prepare students for Level 1 of BAE’s Pre-Professional Division. Students develop strength, coordination, and flexibility as well as basic ballet vocabulary. Musicality and joy of dance are emphasized throughout every class.

Registration for all programs is ongoing for the 2021-2022 school year.

Porchlight Music Theatre Spring Classes

Calling all Broadway-loving singers, dancers, and writers! Join Porchlight – Chicago’s home for music theatre – and learn from the experts all about music, drama, dance, writing, and more while practicing teamwork, communication, and self-confidence. Porchlight Spring Classes are safe and masked and all Teaching Artists are completely vaccinated. Classes end in an original final performance for family and friends on the last day of class.

Join us for Broadway Basics (ages 7-10) or Music Theatre Bootcamp (ages 11-13) on Saturdays, or Advanced Music Theatre Performance (ages 14-17) on Sunday afternoons. Classes build on skills for each individual actor, so whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to the same class for another term, it’s sure to be a perfect fit! AMAZE Light Festival

Find all your favorite holiday traditions at AMAZE Light Festival at Impact Field in Rosemont! In addition to more than one million holiday lights and seven theme-based illuminated worlds, visitors will find an array of outdoor activities including winter tubing on “Thrill Hill,” a holiday market, festive food and beverages, a candy shop and more!

Children can enjoy Santa’s Workshop, holiday craft making and even festive train rides on the “Arctic Express.” Santa’s Workshop will offer lighted seesaws, giant light brights, a special activation where children can write letters to Santa and more!

All Aboard The Polar Express™ Train Ride

Well, are you coming? The magic of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride returns to Downtown Chicago this holiday season and tickets are on sale now! Join your favorite characters from the film for an immersive theatrical experience on a real train ride at Chicago Union Station!

Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a magical one-hour trip to meet Santa. Once on board, your car hosts will work their way through the coach and punch your golden ticket before hot chocolate and delicious Walkers Shortbread are served by dancing chefs.
