Imagination Stage’s summer camps provide an ideal setting for nurturing creativity, exploring the arts, being in a show, and making new friends and great memories! Imagination Stage offers 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-week summer camps in acting, musical theatre, performance, dance, and filmmaking for ages 3.5-18.

Some of the summer production camps include Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids, Annie Kids, and Matilda Jr. Other class titles include Scene’s & Songs from Disney’s: Descendants the Musical, Musical Theatre Intensive: Hadestown, and Theatre Directing: Blocking & Staging.
Filmmaking camps for rising 5-12 graders include Essentials of Animation, and Advanced Filmmaking Academy.

Our skilled and fun-loving teaching artists and summer counselors are dedicated to Imagination Stage’s mission of empowering all young people to discover their voice and identity through the performing arts. Students receive exemplary training from our world-class faculty, emphasizing pure classical technique. This experience is enhanced by invaluable opportunities to perform in fully staged productions at the Keller Auditorium alongside the professional dancers of Oregon Ballet Theatre. Our Summer Youth Ballet Programs give students 7 years and older an opportunity to continue their ballet training with OBT’s professional faculty. Young dancers experience the joys of ballet and unique elective classes during a concentrated time frame to help them prepare for their lifelong ballet journey. Summer Primary Ballet is open to students age 7, our Junior Intensive ages 8+, and our Pre-Pointe & Conditioning Workshop ages 10+. We also offer Pre-Ballet for ages 3-6 and Adult Ballet for ages 13+ during the summer!

Birch Aquarium is thrilled to be offering in-person camps this summer for children ages 5 to 13! Explore underwater worlds and meet ocean creatures in these fun and safe week-long camps. Ballet Academy East’s Summerdance Camp is a fun-filled summer program for children, ages 3 to 7, bursting with arts-focused activities. Designed to foster imagination and inspire a love of the arts, the curriculum includes ballet, tap, modern, art, drama, origami, cooking, musical theater, gymnastics, yoga, and more! All activities are led by BAE’s talented and nurturing instructors along with very special guest instructors. At Glen Echo Park, WE ARE HAPPY CAMPERS! Camps at the Park are the perfect way to encourage budding artists. From visual arts to performing arts, nature and aquatic life programs to Irish dance, there’s something for every child and every interest. Camps are offered by Adventure Theatre MTC, Art Glass Center, Culkin School of Irish Dance, Glen Echo Aquarium, Photoworks, the Puppet Co., Washington Conservatory of Music, Young Creative Spirit, and our independent instructors.

We look forward to welcoming campers back to the Park for a safe and fun summer. Camps run from June 20 – August 26. Most camps are held Monday through Friday,  9am–3pm. Dive into your creative side and explore over 200 years of paintings, pottery, music and more. Campers ages 6-8 will explore Tudor Place’s historic house and garden through an artistic lens pulling from its collections to inspire your own creations. Campers will learn about various forms of art, including metalwork, glass blowing, and ceramics and experiment with similar techniques. Come practice painting, blend watercolors, design stickers and create a musical instrument to take home.
