Learning doesn’t have to stop just because it’s summertime! Theatre camps are a great way for children to explore literature in a fun and creative way. Your kids will transform into a superhero, a princess, or their favorite storybook character as they bring children’s stories to life on stage at North Texas Performing Arts exciting theatre summer programs! With summer learning opportunities for ages 5 to 18, there’s a spot for everyone to learn from the professional directors, actors, and singers who have worked everywhere from Broadway to L.A.

Week-long camps are available in both half-day and full-day options for ages 5-13 and two-week productions are avaiable for all ages, K-12! Each one-week camp has a different theme based on popular children’s stories like Descendants, Frozen, and Harry Potter. There are a dozen options for two-week productions, and there’s truly something for all ages, from Willy Wonka Kids to Little Women or Footloose.

Plus, it’s the perfect time to try out a theatre program at NTPA, because new students get 50% off their first camp or production! Programs are available at NTPA’s Plano, Fairview, Frisco and Dallas locations all summer long.

With a long history of providing arts and enrichment programming for campers, Greenwich House is now expanding programming to provide an even more engaging Summer STEAM Camp providing a chance for young people ages 6-14 to enjoy arts and crafts, engaging science and technology activities, recreation, and outdoor summer fun! Campers will enjoy painting and drawing, ceramics, architecure, coding, sports, cooking and so much more. Every day will have a chance for recreation on our rooftop or in neighborhood parks, and we regularly arrange field trips – virtual or in person, depending on regulations – with our cultural partners like The Whitney Museum of Art.

We want our campers to leave camp having learned the value of teamwork, friendship, diversity, and self-esteem through our STEAM programs. Students will learn to feel comfortable expressing themselves artistically and within a group setting and gain a deeper knowledge of numerous systems of science.

Come build amazing eco-friendly creations with us! Tinkering Camp teaches children the skills they need to turn their wildest imaginings into robust items made from wood, plastic, metal, and fabric. While practicing social distancing with their own workbench and set of tools for the week, the group will have activities that encourage socialization and cooperation while building projects on their own to a group theme. With a 5:1 camper to facilitator ratio, our workshop provides a supportive environment for personal growth through skills development and creative construction. This is a COVID-modified version of our flagship program. For safety, and to facilitate making at home after camp is over, add on a new Tinkering Tool Kit to your tinkerer’s home makerspace at the end of the week.
