If you love the way barrettes and bows look on your little one, but don’t like how they slip out when she's running around playing at school, snag a twist-tie fabric headband (or make your own), like mom blogger Roopika Malhotra did over the summer. They're not only sweet and retro, but super-practical since they can be adjusted as she grows.
What You’ll Need:
Fabric
Scissors
Wire cutters
Thread
Sewing machine or needle
Framing or floral wire
How to:
Step 1: Measure your kids head and cut out two (2-3 inch wide) pieces of fabric that are longer than the circumference.
Step 2: Put the pieces of fabric together (inside out) and sew all of the edges together, except for the end.
Step 3: Pull the fabric through so that it is right side out.
Step 4: Cut out wire and round the ends, so that they don’t poke your little ones scalp.
Step 5. Pull the fabric through and sew the end shut.
