Sometimes is pays to be Heidi Klum’s daughter. The stunning 18-year-old didn’t have to go far to find a dress for her prom–she borrowed one from mom.

Leni Klum shared several Instagram photos of herself on prom night in a gorgeous knee-length strapless black dress, captioning the post: “prom night in mamas dress.” Her mom approved, leaving a heart-eyes emoji in the comments section.

Heidi Klum wore the little black dress 24 years ago in 1998 for an HBO TV special called “Comic Relief VIII” in New York City, looking equally as beautiful.

Klum grew up with everyone’s eyes on her, which makes since when your mom is a model and your dad is none other than Seal. For her part, she’s already a successful model, hitting runways around the globe. Last week, her proud mom shared an Instagram video of a Michael Kors and Ellesse ad campaign which showcased Leni, writing, “Best choice in model.”

Last summer, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel was also on hand during the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Venice, Italy, watching her little girl kill it on the runway. For her part, Leni beamed when she saw her mom in the audience, and Klum got it all on film.

“The smile when she sees mom,” she captioned the video. Adorable.

She has wanted to model for quite some time,” the America’s Got Talent told Parade.com earlier this year. “I finally said yes because I thought, ‘Now, she’s old enough. She’s 16.’ ”

It’s true. The oldest Klum said she’d been asking for the job for quite some time, saying she was approached in her pre-teen years about it “and (her mom) was just like, no and shut it down completely. Ever since 11 or 12 tears old I’ve been begging her and then finally I turned 16 and she said that I could finally start modeling.”

Heidi also told Parade her new husband, Tom Kaulitz,  has been wonderful with her kids“I’m sure it’s not easy to step into an immediate family, having all of a sudden four kids and teenagers,” Klum said. “They were easier when they were younger, for sure. Every age comes with its challenges.” Klum has three others kids–Henry, 16, Jonah, 15, and Lou, 12.

Leni is definitely all her mom.
