Jenna Bush Hager brought her 9-year-old daughter to the Today show set, and we’re petitioning to make her an official co-host immediately

I remember Take Your Daughter to Work Day when I was around 9. I spent the day at my dad’s law firm, where one of the partners taught me how to do legal research. Some people have more exciting jobs than that, like Jenna Bush Hager, who recently brought her 9-year-old daughter, Margaret “Mila” Laura, to spend the day with her on the set of the Today show.

Despite being just 9, Mila was an absolute natural on the show—and she took the opportunity to share some hilarious stories about her mom. It all started when co-host Hoda Kotb, while chatting with Mila, brought up one of her favorite things about Hager.

“You know when I love her the most, Mila? When she’s laughing so hard she can’t catch her breath,” Kotb said.

Mila quickly answered, “Yeah, one time she was laughing in our living room and she peed her pants!” After laughing, she added to her mom, “You changed your pajamas!”

Hager, to her credit, took the embarrassing moment in stride.

“Thank you, Mila,” she said. “Thank you so much.”

But Mila wasn’t quite done yet. Kotb prompted her for more stories, despite Hager protesting, “I think Hoda is trying to get the truth bombs out, but no more.”

But after taking a few seconds to think of a story, Mila shared, “She never wears underwear! She is not wearing it right now! I saw her change!”

“OK, goodbye! Goodbye, I love you!” Hager said as she ushered Mila offstage.

It just goes to show that if you’re going to bring your child to work—especially at an age that famously has no filter—you’d better be ready for the truth bombs to be dropped. Just maybe think twice if you’re like Hager and your job takes place on live TV.
