A chill dad answers his daughter’s hypothetical questions in a way all kids wish their parents would
Where are my fellow strict-parent kids at? You remember what it was like—having to finish chores and homework before you could even dream of asking to go to a friend’s house, knowing you wouldn’t be able to go to that birthday party because it was the same weekend as another event, and counting the days until you left home and could live your life without rules and constant supervision. We were all eternally jealous of kids who had parents like this one. One dad is going viral on TikTok because he’s just so chill, but still supportive and loving toward his daughter, and you really love to see it.
Teen Abby Moxon posted the TikTok video of her “non-strict” dad playing a hypothetical “what if” game with her, and his answers to her questions immediately won over the entire internet.

The first question is what he would do if she received a C or lower in a class at school. Her dad, looking relieved that that’s all she’s asking, answers, “Oh, as long as you try your hardest, that’s fine.”
Then she asks how he’d react if she snuck out and went to a party.
“Well, we would talk about it, but it would be fine,” her bewildered-looking dad replies.
If she cussed him out during an argument?
“I’d tell you I didn’t like the way you were talking to me.”
If she got arrested for shoplifting?
“Well… I’d say that was stupid.”
The video continues, with Abby firing off questions and her dad instantly responding. One of the most heartwarming moments comes when she asks how he would react if she turned off her location on her phone.
“Well, that’s annoying,” her dad replied. “Because if you need me, I can’t help you.”
Another adorable moment? When Abby asks, “What if I snuck a boy into the house?”
Her dad answers, “You don’t need to sneak them. You just have to introduce them to me.”
The only serious moment comes when Abby asks this question: “I would never do this, but what would you do if I was drunk driving?”
“Oh, I would be pissed,” her dad replies. “I would take your license and car away.”
At least there’s one thing he’s strict about!
