Lindsay Lohan is starring in a film for the first time in almost a decade

Raise your hand if you’re ready for some sappy holiday films! If Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas lineup isn’t enough to satisfy, Lindsay Lohan is here to help.

Netflix is getting ready to drop Falling for Christmas, a romantic holiday flick staring Lohan who has spent the last 10 years away from movie making. If the title sounds familiar, that’s because you might remember a film of the same name from a few years ago. While the 2016 version bears the same title, the plot varies but still maintains the same “girl ends up meeting a widowed dad and the two fall in love” theme. Well, one can assume.

While we are still awaiting a trailer and more info about the upcoming film, here’s what we do know.

Falling for Christmas Plot

In typical dramatic Christmas flair, the film follows Sierra, a spoiled hotel heiress who’s just gotten engaged. While out skiing, she suffers an accident and subsequent amnesia. Thankfully, lodge-owner Jake and his daughter are there to nurse her back to health in the time leading up to Christmas.

In case you’re wondering, Jake is indeed widowed and his daughter is of course adorable. For now, that’s about all we know about the film, in addition to a few select photos shared by Netflix showing her with Jake, played by Chord Overstreet.
