Disney’s live-action reboot of The Lion King debuts in less than a month (Jul. 19). But if you just can’t wait for the big screen premiere, check out the pics French photographer Sabine Bernert.
While photographing wildlife for an upcoming children’s book, Bernert caught a magical moment between IRL Mufasa and Simba look-a-likes. And the photos are absolutely paw-dorable.
As Bernert photographed the daddy lion, the cub playful approached the proud papa. When the adult saw his cub, he did what any dad would do—gave him a bear (or in this case, lion) hug!
The photographer reportedly said, of the sweet exchange, “I especially love the moment when the male lion is hugging the cub softly.” And we’re pretty sure the rest of the world does too.
