An all-inclusive vacation with kids should make family time easier, not leave parents juggling restaurant reservations, activity schedules, and snack requests every few hours. At Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino in the Dominican Republic, families can explore a sprawling resort, splash in pools, and enjoy activities for all ages.
The resort is part of the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino complex in Punta Cana, a destination known for its white-sand beaches and turquoise Caribbean waters. With family accommodations, supervised kids’ activities, and options for teens who prefer to spend time away from their parents, Lopesan Caoba Lagoon offers a setup that makes multigenerational family trips or vacations with school-age kids easier to plan.
Whether your family wants to spend most of the day in the water or mix pool time with games, dining, and evening entertainment, there are plenty of ways to make the vacation your own.
Room for the Whole Family

Coming from a family of five, one of the biggest challenges of a resort vacation is finding a room where everyone can sleep comfortably without feeling like you’re all sharing one oversized hotel room. Lopesan Caoba Lagoon has connecting-room options that give families more space and a little privacy.
The largest family accommodation configuration combines a Resort Junior Suite Connecting room with a Family Junior Suite Connecting room. Together, the rooms offer 1,179 square feet of space for up to seven guests, with one king bed, two queen beds, a sofa bed, and two bathrooms.
That layout is especially useful for families traveling with several children, grandparents, or another family member. Two bathrooms make getting ready for dinner much less chaotic, while connecting rooms let parents stay close to younger children without everyone sharing the same sleeping space.
Before booking, confirm the exact room configuration and occupancy with the resort. Connecting rooms can be a practical alternative to squeezing everyone into a single suite, especially on a multi-night trip.
Kids’ Club and Teen Activities Give Parents a Break
Even on a family vacation, it’s nice to have a little time apart. Lopesan Caoba Lagoon offers a Mini Club for children ages 4 to 12 and a Teen Club for guests ages 13 to 17, giving kids time with peers while parents enjoy downtime.
The clubs operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with meal breaks to give families flexibility to plan around breakfast, lunch, pool time, or dinner. Parents can enjoy a quiet break, book a spa treatment, or simply spend a little time together while the kids have activities of their own.
For families with younger children who aren’t quite ready for a group kids’ club, babysitting is available 24 hours a day with advance arrangements at $20 per child per hour.
Plenty of Water Time

One of the highlights of Lopesan Caoba Resort is its water features. Families can ride the waves in the wave pool, let little ones splash around in the kiddie waterpark area, splash down on the waterslides, or find a spot in the shade to enjoy one of the lagoon pools.
My favorite was the cenote swimming pool, something I haven’t seen at other all-inclusive resorts. This tranquil area never got crowded when I visited, offering a respite from the lively swim-up bars and water aerobics sessions.
For those looking for beach time, the property is adding a beach club, and in the meantime, guests can visit the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort beach club. Keep in mind that seaweed can be an issue in the Dominican Republic, depending on when you visit.
Dining Without the Daily Planning

One of the main advantages of an all-inclusive resort is not having to figure out every meal. You can plan meals around swimming and activities instead of interrupting the day to find an off-property restaurant. The breakfast buffet was massive, offering everything from fresh fruit smoothies to pastries and waffles made to your liking. They even had a whole section for kid-friendly options and Dominican favorites.
With eight traditional restaurants to choose from, you’ll find something for every taste, from deeply flavorful Indian dishes at Indra to upscale pasta, pizza, and more at Sotto Terra. If you decide to get a babysitter for the night, definitely book a meal at the adults-only steakhouse Brassa Nova.
Evening Entertainment for the Whole Family

Evenings can be a highlight of an all-inclusive vacation, especially when there’s entertainment close to your room. Instead of arranging transportation or trying to keep everyone awake for a late dinner in town, families can enjoy the resort’s evening offerings and return to their rooms when the kids are ready to wind down.
The Boulevard, which connects Lopesan Caoba to Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, offers a bowling alley, theater, ice cream shop, café, and casino for adults. We enjoyed live music performances and karaoke at the bars during our stay.
Getting There

Families can fly into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), about 20–30 minutes from Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, depending on traffic. Private airport transfers and transportation through the resort or a third-party provider make getting to the property easy, so you won’t need to rent a car. If it’s busy when you are departing, consider using the airport’s VIP Fast Track service.
