If you love Virgin River and can’t get enough of its first four seasons on Netflix, it sounds like there’s a lot more in store for fans in its upcoming fifth season. Martin Henderson, who plays beloved Jack Sheridan, a restaurant bar owner in the show, shared some juicy tidbits from the series and says it’s the “best season yet.”

Of course, he said that having only shot two scenes of Season 5, but hey, we’re holding him to it. “I didn’t sleep a wink last night,” Henderson told Glamour. “I’ve been an actor for 34 years and it doesn’t even matter. This is season five of a show that’s clearly working, yet there’s some part of my mind that is filled with doubt that I don’t know if I’m going to be able to do it. But I think I looked appropriately sad at the right moments and appropriately happy at the others. So yeah, I think I’ve still got my job.”

He also joked about the season and his stellar performance, saying: “Season five’s great, by the way. It’s the best season yet. I’m amazing in it.”

The popular series is based on the best-selling romance novels by author Robyn Carr, and they are as easy to watch as you’d imagine. Virgin River follows Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse practitioner, midwife, and recent widow who left life in the city after her husband’s death. She starts over in a sleepy little town and soon finds herself involved in a steamy romance with Jack that will have you coming back for more.

Now is the perfect time to binge if you haven’t already—the first four seasons are all available for streaming—so you can get all caught up before Season 5 launches.

For his part, Henderson has a big role to play as we see Jack’s personal and professional life begin to crumble. There’s impending fatherhood, PTSD from his time in the Marines, his relationship with alcohol, and the continued struggle of his brother’s death when he was a child. It’s a complex character but one that fans can’t get enough of.

The one (spoiler) story line that everyone remains invested in is his engagement to Mel. “Marriage requires a lot of us, but it’s also a huge relief that he can have this moment and he’ll go forward with Mel by his side,” Henderson said. “I just think that’s an overwhelming idea for him, for someone who’s been alone his whole life, really.”

We can’t wait for a date of the newest season and, of course, a trailer to drool over until it arrives.
