Whether you want nothing or everything to do with the planning, these 6 locations are sure to send up your favorite one-year-old with all the love and enthusiasm she deserves.

For the Blank Slate: 6 River Terrace

If you have a guest list the size of a small wedding, you need a party room, and 6 River Terrace is the perfect one. Operated by the Battery Park City Conservancy, the 2000 square foot space overlooks Nelson A. Rockefeller Park and the Hudson River. It holds up to 200 people, and the rental fee include an on-site event coordinator who will assist with caterers, furniture placement and trash removal. And if you feel like you need a little extra in the way of entertainment, you can choose to rent kids toys, or even a puppet theater or play kitchen.
