You never really need a reason to have some professional photos taken of your kid or family, but cooler temps, fall foliage and impending holidays are all good ones. (Capturing that fleeting newborn period is of course, another.) One of our favorite NYC photographers is Raquel Frechette, whose work, while beautiful, also feels fun, fresh and organic. This shutterbug is typically booked 8-10 weeks in advance, so it is never too early to get on her calendar. Something pop-up? Need to call a rain date? She understands that stuff happens, and is happy to find a way reschedule as needed.
