“I liked when Skye was brave. This movie made me very happy.” – 4-year-old Ever on PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie

As parents, we’re always on the lookout for movies that not only entertain our kids but also offer valuable life lessons. My kids and I had the opportunity to enjoy an early screening of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, and as you would imagine, the excitement in the room was palpable.

From its action-packed scenes to the contagious laughter it induced, this movie is mighty indeed and had my kids hooked from start to finish. But what truly stood out was how the characters embodied strength, resilience, and courage, making it more than just an ordinary movie night.

Parents, here’s everything you need to know about PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, from its new characters and adventures to a big story that teaches kids about grit and bravery.

Get Ready to Have a Blast

Taraji P. Henson as “Vee” in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie

This film wastes no time plunging us into an action-packed adventure. It’s the kind of start that had both my kids exclaiming, “Oh noooo!” until the PAW Patrol swooped into action, ready to face danger head-on and save the day. And to make the ride even more fun, the characters are voiced by enormous talents like Kristen Bell, Chris Rock, Taraji P. Henson, James Marsden, Kim Kardashian, and Serena Williams.

Liberty’s Role: Embracing Responsibility & Resilience

One of the standout characters is Liberty. My four-year-old daughter was particularly thrilled to see this pup in action. One of the most impactful moments was when Liberty, who struggles to see her own self-worth, chose to take the Junior Patrollers (the newest and cutest! additions) under her wing, rather than letting her self-doubt hold her back. It’s a powerful lesson in resilience and confidence—making the best out of a situation and turning it into an opportunity for growth.

Skye’s Journey: Overcoming Limitations & Being Courageous

McKenna Grace as “Skye” in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie

Another household favorite, Skye, captivated us with her journey of self-discovery. As a pup who often feels underestimated due to her size, Skye faces challenges head-on and remains calm in the face of adversity, making us reflect on the times we may have felt like the underdog. Skye resonated with my daughter: “I am smaller and want to be strong like Skye, too!”. Her journey is a powerful analogy for the ups and downs life can throw at us—and she doesn’t give up—as you’ll see in the end!

Unity in Action: Better Together

This Pawsome team bands together to fight their enemies, illustrating the power of collective strength. It’s an important lesson about being a good citizen, friend, and human, regardless of age. When one is in trouble, the entire team is there to support and lift each other up. No blaming, no finger-pointing, just coming together to help. Now if only I could get my kids to band together to clean up their messes, but that’s a story for another time…

A Guide for Young Hearts

North West as “Mini” and Alan Kim as “Nano” in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie

The movie left us with a heartwarming message: “Always do what’s right. Even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.” And I couldn’t be happier with the lessons that my crew took away from this film. It’s a reminder that strength, resilience, and courage are not just abstract concepts but qualities that can be nurtured and developed, even in the youngest of kids.

The Reviews Are In

Ever and Watson enjoying PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie

Ever, age 4, had this to say: “I liked when Skye was brave. This movie made me very happy. Rubble was the silliest, I love him.” And “The white fluffy dog was so cool!” (Of course she was; Kim Kardashian voiced this pup!)

Watson, age 7, said: “My favorite part was when the meteor came down and the pups got their powers. And I was so happy when Liberty realized she was special because she deserved it. This was a great movie!”

Did I mention that the soundtrack is infectiously energetic, uplifting, and fun? An impromptu dance party was born during the closing credits—it’s that good, thanks to tracks from Christina Aguilera, Bryson Tiller, McKenna Grace, and more.

Needless to say, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie is an adventure you won’t want to miss.
