Who needs to jet set to a tropical island when Portland has plenty of excitement, like tram rides with a bird’s-eye view, berry patches and sandy beach trips within a stone’s throw of home? Read on to discover eight close-to-home adventures that’ll make your summer unforgettable.
7. Dance in the Park
Take your kiddos and shake your groove thing at one of Portland’s many awesome outdoor summer concerts. Lake Oswego hosts a fantastic concert series at two locations on Wednesday nights — July concerts at Foothills Park (4101 Kruse Way) and August concerts at Westlake Park (14165 Bunick Dr). There’s plenty of parking at both locations, and a huge grassy area for bringing a blanket and picnic dinner. We recommend Paperback Writer, a Beatles Tribute Band on August 12th.
