This preschool is trading nursery rhymes for Beyoncé songs, and this is your sign to take a “Single Ladies” dance break today

There are lots of reasons for kids—especially those around preschool age—to sing and dance. Studies have shown that dancing helps preschool-age kids improve their sensory, motor, synchronization, and balance skills—but more than that, it’s just silly and fun! And while you may expect toddlers to sing and dance to nursery rhymes, in this viral TikTok video, a teacher is trading in “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” for “Slay, Slay, Slay Like Beyoncé,” and we’re all for it.

TikToker @mrsfaybrown posted the video, where she can be seen leading her preschool class in the instantly recognizable choreography for Bey’s “All the Single Ladies.” The kids can be heard belting out the lyrics while they bust a move, and it’s everything.

“From the lyrics, right down to the ‘Single Ladies’ choreography, every day these kiddos perform their lil hearts out like they on Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour or sumthin,” she wrote.

In the video, the kids nail most of the moves, while captions read, “Listen to them sing their little hearts out and nail the choreography. Go, little friends, go!”

And the comments are loving this just as much as we are.

“The memories you are creating for and with these children is irreplaceable,” one commenter wrote, and we did catch that Beyoncé pun.

Another commenter added, “Looks like Beyoncé and her dancers got some competition!”

They definitely do. And if you weren’t planning to take a Renaissance-inspired dance break today, perhaps you should reconsider.
