You’ll get easy access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and tons of fun amenities that kids will love
When we think about our dream family vacation, a few days in the trees near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park definitely tops the list. The brand-new Sanctuary Treehouse Resort will open to visitors on March 31, 2023, and you are going to want to get your reservation in. Imagine your kids going down the spiral slide while you stargaze from your deck with a glass of wine. This and so much more are waiting for you at this family-run, 40-acre resort.
It all began when parents (and owners) Amanda and Brian Jensen built their four kids a treehouse, complete with bunk beds, a trap door, a swing, and a zipline. When the kids outgrew it, they joked about renting it out. But it wasn’t until a large property near their home went up for sale that they decided to really bring their dreams of a massive treehouse resort to life.

With views of the Smoky Mountains and four miles of walking trails, the property offers the immersion in nature that families are really looking for and its proximity to town means you won’t be out of luck if you run out of marshmallows or diapers. There are even two 18-hole golf courses right next door if that’s your thing.
The first of the Sanctuary Treehouse Resort’s treehouses will open to bookings starting in September with more to come in 2023. Rates start at $399/night with a two-night minimum. Get on their email list so you are notified when reservations open up.
