If you can’t remember the last time you had a spontaneous family adventure or (gasp!) an unplanned Saturday afternoon, it’s time to shake things up a bit. No need to leave town, just put on your Seattle uniform (fleece jacket and Dansko clogs or Chaco sandals… bonus points for Mariners, Huskies, Seahawks or Sounders gear) and grab the gang. It’s time to act like a tourist for the day and visit (or revisit) our favorite touristy Seattle hot spots.

Ride The Ducks

If It Quacks Like a Duck, Jump Aboard
You knew this was coming, right? You’ve seen ‘em (enormous WWII amphibious landing crafts driving down Aurora are hard to miss). You’ve heard ‘em (blaring Beach Boys music as all the passengers willingly sing and dance along). Isn’t it time to finally Ride the Duck? It’s perhaps the most tourist-y attraction in the city… so of course it made the top of our list. And even if you thought you’d never be caught dead quacking along on your duck beak kazoo to “YMCA” with a bunch of strangers as you cruise by paddle boarders on Lake Union, tamp down your pride for 90 minutes and enjoy perhaps the silliest ride of your life.
