Psychologists Say It May Make You Happier Explore: Lake Hills Community Park The next time you have to kill a morning with your little and his wiser-than-thou older sibling, head out to Lake Hills Community Park where Miss “I’m too old for playgrounds” will be pleasantly surprised at how much fun can be had. Start with the double whammy playground – which has a primary-colored, pirate-themed play ship for the minis and a more advanced jungle gym-filled playset for older kids. Bring your fave ball – for H-O-R-S-E on the basketball courts, soccer on the expansive green spaces or wiffle ball on the baseball fields. (Don’t forget to take turns rolling down the sloping green hill that frames the fields! Hours of fun!) When you’re ready for a picnic, grab a bench and munch on fruit you picked up from the Lake Hills Greenbelt Produce Stand, the cute red barn that’s a few blocks away on 156th Ave. SE and 16th St. SE. They’ve also got a great selection of seasonal veggies and a fantastic (and cheap!) selection of flower bouquets.
