Tap Into Tacoma’s Family-Friendly Brew Scene

You’ve spent a busy afternoon exploring T-town’s museum district with your crew, and it’s time to recharge. Why not wash down your day’s adventure, half-pint in tow, at one of Tacoma’s family-friendly breweries? From traditional taprooms to cushy brewpubs, we’ve rounded up the best places to belly up to the bar, baby and all.

The Harmon Restaurant

The Harmon Restaurant’s hop, skip and a jump location makes it an easy resting spot for families on the go. Just across the street from the Chihuly glass bridge, along the Link light rail line, it’s a familiar fave to Tacoma residents of all ages. But it’s a particularly great spot for families because of its casual atmosphere with lots of space, so kids can spread out around the table. Alongside their signature on-tap brews, the restaurant serves up food plates piled with the good stuff. Burgers the size of your head and a kids’ menu geared toward mass appeal (think: PB&J, mac 'n’ cheese and more). If you’re planning a trip, keep an eye out for their weekly events that include free kids’ meals on Sundays.

Perfect pour: A pint of the Point Defiance IPA goes well with any and everything on the menu.
