Do your little ones love to crank up the tunes on your iPod? Got a mini Mozart on your hands? Whether it’s staging a dance party in the family room or winding down to lullabies at bedtime, babies and kids of all ages love music. There are many great kids’ music programs available around the Seattle area and we’ve got the details on some of the best.
Registration for the spring session of many programs begins soon and many offer discounts for siblings.
MusikGarten 4 Locations (pictured) Ages 3 months – 7 years. Spring session starts in April. Class costs vary $100-$150 per session including materials. Also offer piano lessons for school-aged children.
Kindermusik Multiple Locations Classes for all ages. Spring session starts in April/May. Class costs vary (approximately $250 for 15 weeks).
Music Center of the Northwest Seattle (North Seattle ) Learn to sing, play an instrument, or understand music theory in one of MCNW’s wide variety of classes for kids. Includes Music Together, Music Together Big Kids and Suzuki Academy programs.
Mulberry Bush Music and Movement Several Seattle Locations (offered at neighborhood Community Centers) Spring sessions begin in April. Ten-week program for $170. Sign up with a friend and each save 10%.
Sunshine Music Together Locations in Lynnwood (Kennelly Keys), Redmond (Old Redmond Schoolhouse), Woodinville (Spotlight Studio) & Seattle/Queen Anne (Twirl Café) (A national music program for toddlers offered at multiple locations) Spring session in begins in April. $175 per child/$125 for siblings.
Music Together Chickadee Offered at the Phinney Neighborhood Center and University Heights Center. Spring session begins in April. $175 per child/$120 per sibling.
Gymboree Play & Music Seattle and Eastside: multiple locations Offering music classes for 6 months – 5 years old. Enroll anytime. Classes are $79/month and first trial class is always free.
Studio 3 Music Bellevue, Edmonds, Kirkland, Phinney Neighborhood Center, Redmond, Renton, Seattle Symphony, Snoqualmie and Woodinville offers Kindermusik classes.
Music Works Northwest Bellevue has group lessons for kids as young as 4 in keyboards, violin, and more.
The Musik Nest Issaquah also offers a range of Kindermusik classes.
Kaleidescope School of Music Issaquah Kaleidescope teaches Little Mozart classes (to introduce tots to Suzuki method) and another class, The Adventures of DoMiSo, which teaches preschoolers how to read music.
