Pack a picnic, grab the sunscreen, and check out Bellevue’s brand-new Water Spray Playground. Located within (the already fabulous) Crossroads Community Park in Bellevue, the water playground is the newest place to cool your heels on a hot day while Little One gets gleefully soaked. Squealing kiddos have fun exploring the many items that may squirt them at any moment. There’s a giant Orca whale (big kids like to climb this one) and two babies with spouting blowholes, a sunken boat, floating granite world, spitting frog, and more (with further additions coming this fall). Kids seem especially drawn to the rock with the flirty-squirty sea anemones. The non-slippery ground material is cushy, ensuring a soft landing if Junior topples over a baby whale. It’s also great for crawlers as there is no standing water. Ready to dry off? The park has an adjacent playground, huge open grassy spaces, restrooms, and a covered picnic area. All you need now is a cabana boy taking orders for juice and goldfish crackers! Crossroads Park – New Water Spray Playground NE 8th and 164th Ave NE – Bellevue (a few blocks East of Crossroads Mall)
