Now, there’s one more beautiful reason to make a trip to the San Juan Islands – the brand new Islands Museum of Art.
Located in Friday Harbor, the museum is situated in a space that used to be the home of emergency vehicles. To top the unusual space off, the museum has a towering glass and steel atrium – a great place to house the museum’s premiere show – Illuminated: Glass by William Morris, 1998-2013. Mr. Morris is a well-known artist who teaches at the highly regarded Pilchuck School.
The exhibit is definitely worth a visit, and a cherry on top of a sweet trip!
