Amazon Just Opened Its Second Cashless Store—Where Will It Open Next?

Picking up a few groceries is never an easy endeavor with kids in tow—but what if you could grab what you need and never wait in line? A second Amazon Go convenience store has opened its doors and our fingers are crossed that this means more are coming soon.

The first Amazon Go cashless store opened in Seattle earlier this year, where customers pay with a swipe of the Amazon Go app. Like the initial storefront, the second Amazon Go (also located in Seattle) allows shoppers to grab what they need and go, with no need to ever wait in a checkout line.

The second store offers ready-to-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner foods, like sandwiches and wraps, as well as snacks, like chips and chocolate, and Amazon’s Meal Kits.

While the company is reportedly planning to open up to six Amazon Go locations throughout 2018, Amazon has given no specifics on where or when they’ll actually open. A second store opening, however, is a pretty good indication that things have done well with its first one—which means more cities across the country could soon be enjoying the same convenience.

As the Seattle Times reported, Amazon posted job postings earlier this year that gave the impression more Amazon Go  stores might roll out in Chicago, Illinois and San Francisco, California—but Amazon has yet to confirm these locations or when they could open.
