Now Amazon and Whole Foods are promising that the bill you’re left with after a store run will definitely put a smile on your face.Amazon and Whole Foods want to make it affordable for everyone to enjoy high-quality, organic, healthy foods, which is why on Monday when the company acquisition becomes official, Whole Foods will be dropping prices on many of its items. “Whole Foods Market will offer lower prices starting Monday on a selection of best-selling grocery staples across its stores, with more to come,” the two companies said in a joint press release.Besides discounting the prices for all shoppers, Amazon’s most loyal will eventually receive additional perks when shopping at Whole Foods with a discount program aimed at Prime Members. “Amazon and Whole Foods Market technology teams will begin to integrate Amazon Prime into the Whole Foods Market point-of-sale system, and when this work is complete, Prime members will receive special savings and in-store benefits.”Products from Whole Foods private 365 label will also soon be available for purchase on Amazon. Over time Amazon plans to roll out even more in-store incentives for Whole Foods customers. This might just be the end of the nickname “Whole Paycheck,” and we couldn’t be more excited. Will lower prices make you more inclined to shop at Whole Foods? Share your thoughts in the comments.
