Faulds spent almost 12 minutes upside down

Gym equipment can be tricky. If you need proof, look no further than this Ohio woman attempting to film a video of herself stretching her back. Unfortunately for her, she got stuck in a precarious position and needed the help of emergency services to get her out.

Christine Faulds shared a video on TikTok showing her stuck upside down on an inversion table at a 24-hour gym. And you’ve probably never seen someone keep their composure this well—definitely not in this position. “911, What’s the state of your emergency?” Well, I’m stuck..” she captioned the now-viral video. Faulds was at the gym like a total beast at 3am, and there was only one other person in the building. He was lifting weights in the other room and didn’t hear her pleas for help. So, she did the only thing she could, she called 911 to see if there was someone who could perhaps help turn her right side up.

After trying for several minutes to free herself, she realized she had her Apple Watch, and immediately called to explain her situation. Faulds remains calm under pressure, saying she was stuck upside down and, try as she might, could not figure out how to get out on her own. While the dispatcher listened, you could hear her calling to Jason in another room. Jason was not having it.

“This is embarrassing” Faulds continued, just casually waiting for someone to come to her rescue like the queen that she is. Police did eventually come and couldn’t help laughing at Faulds as they tilted her back up. “Oh dear Lord my ankles are burning,” she said as police chuckled.

Easiest rescue ever,” Faulds responded.

She told CNN her family and friends asked her, “Why would you post that? It’s so embarrassing,” but she said sometimes you just need to laugh at yourself and “move on.” She also said she wouldn’t be going to the gym in the future without a workout buddy, which feels like solid advice for all of us.

Thank goodness there are people in this world like Faulds that can have a laugh at their own expense and remind us not to take ourselves too seriously.
