A nine-year-old kid setting up a roadside lemonade stand isn’t exactly breaking news: there are probably countless kid-created stands crisscrossing the country. But when one little boy started a lemonade stand to pay for his brother’s medical bills, it got all of our attention.

Some kiddos set up lemonade stands to make extra money for video games. Others want to buy their weight in ice cream. But not Andrew Emery. Nope—he started his stand for something much more important.

The little boy’s brother, Dylan, is fighting Krabbe disease. Dylan’s rare neurological disease means that mom and dad, Matt and Melissa, can’t work—and are instead taking the baby from Greenwood, South Carolina to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for ongoing medical treatment. While the prognosis for Krabbe disease is grim, the Emery family hasn’t given up hope—and here’s where big brother Andrew comes in.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Andrew decided to set up a lemonade stand as a way to raise money for his baby brother’s medical bills (and the costs his parents will incur while they’re not working). In just a few short hours, Andrew’s lemonade stand brought in a whopping $5,860!

Along with the lemonade stand contributions, the Emery family also has a GoFundMe campaign that has raised more than $32,000, where you can get your own #teamdylan cups and t-shirts.
