When Pokémon GO was released it revolutionized the way the world thought about gaming, taking game play off the couch and out into the world. A new game is about to do the same for a familiar block-filled world with Minecraft Earth.
Microsoft has announced that this summer it will be releasing a brand new augmented reality version of it’s popular Minecraft game. The new Minecraft Earth will give game players the ability to build their block worlds on their phones, overlaid on physical locations in the real world.

Using the camera on your mobile device you can use your phone to build a Minecraft creation on top of whatever the camera is pointed at. You can then walk around and engage your AR world with the real world.
The new Minecraft Earth is set to roll out later this summer. You can sign up for more info here.
