With pumpkin patches on every corner and the costumes chosen, it’s time to get your crew geared up for some Halloween festivities. We have loads of family-friendly fall activities and events for kids in and around Las Vegas from trick-or-treating to a dancing costume contest to a zombie run. Fall is in the air!

Haunted Harvest
Spooktacular fun for all ages awaits those who dare enter the Springs Preserve’s annual Haunted Harvest. The family-friendly event features trick-or-treat candy stations to visit throughout the “Bootanical” Garden, carnival games and prizes, a hay maze and petting zoo, craft and other interactive activities, live entertainment, food vendors, and much more fun. Tots Trick-or-Treat Trail
Dress your little ones in their Halloween costumes and let them trick or treat. Admission is free, but a donation of two canned food items to benefit the Henderson Salvation Army would be appreciated. Ages 1-5. Valley View Recreation Center. Oct. 17. Event details. 

The BOOgie Woogie Bash
BOOgie the night away in your spookiest Halloween costume. Bring a friend to enjoy dancing, a costume contest, carnival games, prizes, snacks and refreshments. Register in advance. Ages 5-10. Downtown Henderson Recreation Center. Oct. 18. Event details. 

Zombie 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk
The walking dead return to Henderson for another feeding. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween garb or as a member of the undead. Souvenir T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 participants. All fitness levels are welcome. Day-of registration is cash only. Ages 5 and up. Cornerstone Park. Oct. 19. Event details. 

Trunk or Treat
Henderson’s premier safe trick-or-treating event returns for an evening of festive fun. Put on your costume and follow the trick-or-treat trail in the parking lot to get trick or treats from the trunks of our festively-decorated cars. The event includes a variety of activities, entertainment and a costume contest. Register in advance. All ages. Black Mountain Recreation Center. Oct. 14. Event details.

Hallow Reef
Exhibits and tunnels transform into spooky chambers and corridors with trick-or-treaters, costumes and jack-o-lanterns as Hallow-Reef returns to Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Guests (and ghosts) can celebrate the Halloween season while exploring unique creatures of land and sea. On Oct. 25, children 12 and under who visit Shark Reef in Halloween costumes will receive complimentary aquarium admission and sweet treats. Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Oct. 25-27. Haunted at the Ranch
There is something spooky happening at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center and Whitney Ranch Aquatic Complex. Dress up in your favorite costume and join the community for two evenings of spooky fun with a collection of carnival games, bounce houses, craft stations and a trick-or-treat trail. Triq or Treat
Locals and Las Vegas visitors are invited to The LINQ Promenade for safe street trick or treating, with the chance to collect bags full of candy and other goodies from more than 40 outlets. LINQ Promenade. Oct. 26. Event details. 

Pet Trick-or-Treat 1-Mile Walk
Show off your pet’s Halloween costume at the second annual Trick-or-Treat 1-Mile Walk. Bring a trick-or-treat pail and walk your leashed pet along the Heritage Park Trail, stopping at stations along the way to collect dog treats. Visit the agility dog park to see if your pet is interested in trying out some tricks. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and best human/pet costume combo during each session. Spooky Birds
Dress up in your Halloween costume and learn about spooky birds, make a craft and trick-or-treat along the walking path. Watch out for things that go bump in the night. Ages 4-10. Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve. Oct. 30. Event details.
