From tiny towns to giant locomotives, your kiddos will be begging to stay another day. Click through the gallery below to learn about our favorite spots from across the country.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Atlanta

First, there are dinosaurs. Big, skeletal dinosaurs. You'll see them when you drive up, you'll see them when you enter the towering, sun-filled lobby, and you'll see them in various exhibits as you explore the museum. Next, Fernbank's Nature Quest is an indoor playscape that makes you feel like you're outdoors, even when it's too hot, too cold, or too much effort to actually be outdoors. With a treehouse, swinging bridge, cool waterfall, and underwater environment stations, your kids ages 6 and under will spend hours touching, climbing, and crawling their way through this unique educational playscape. Finally, there are 75 acres in the newly opened WildWoods and Fernbank Forest that take the learning outdoors, with immersive trails, educational programming, hands-on exhibits, and beautiful scenery.
